Description

A place of interpretation and historic site dating from 1840, nestled in the verdant forests of the Eastern Townships, the Ulverton wool mill presents visitors with pre-industrial methods of wool production and processing.

Former mill for carding wool and sawing wood, its new vocation as a place of interpretation allows us to better understand all the stages of wool processing, from shearing sheep to fabricating fabrics. Experienced guides tell visitors about the daily life of wool workers in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Moulin boutique, a real treasure chest, awaits wool and knitting aficionados! The Ulverton wool mill site also offers walking trails, a picnic area buried under the trees, a pretty river and even a flock of sheep during the summer season!

The Ulverton wool mill is a heritage listed building that acts as a powerful vector of tourist attraction for the greater Estrie and Center-du-Québec region.
